Connecting tickets can sometimes be cheaper than regular tickets, especially if there are multiple airlines involved and you are able to find a good deal. However, it's important to consider the additional time and potential inconvenience of having to switch planes and possibly go through security again. It's also important to factor in the potential for delays or missed connections when booking connecting tickets. Ultimately, the cost effectiveness of connecting tickets depends on the specific route and airlines involved. **

To check your luggage for connecting flights, you should first confirm with your airline if your luggage will be checked through to your final destination. When checking in for your initial flight, make sure to inform the airline agent that you have a connecting flight and provide them with your final destination. They will then tag your luggage accordingly. Upon arrival at your connecting airport, you can check the airport monitors or ask airport staff to confirm that your luggage has been transferred to your next flight. **

If you miss your first flight, your connecting flights will likely be cancelled. Most airlines operate on a "no-show" policy, which means if you do not board your first flight, they will cancel the rest of your itinerary. It is important to contact the airline as soon as possible if you know you will miss your flight to see if any alternative arrangements can be made. **

The amount of time you need to allow for connecting flights can vary depending on the airport, airline, and the specific connection. As a general rule of thumb, it's recommended to allow at least 1-1.5 hours for domestic connections and 2-3 hours for international connections. This will give you enough time to disembark, go through security (if necessary), and make your way to the next gate. It's always best to check with your airline or the airport for specific recommendations based on your itinerary. **

If you miss your connecting flight with Emirates or Etihad Airlines, you will need to contact the airline's customer service as soon as possible to discuss your options. Depending on the circumstances, the airline may be able to rebook you on the next available flight at no additional cost, but this is not guaranteed. If you miss your connecting flight due to a delay or cancellation on the airline's part, they may provide accommodation and meals during the waiting time. It is important to check the airline's policy on missed connections and be prepared for potential additional costs or delays. **

Airlines typically announce their flights through a combination of methods, including public address systems at the airport, electronic display boards, and online platforms such as their website and social media. The announcements usually include information such as the flight number, departure gate, boarding time, and any important updates or changes. Additionally, airlines may also send out notifications to passengers via email or text message to keep them informed about their flights. **
